Clearwater Beach, Florida -- Awards to top businesses and community philanthropists will be made at the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce's 90th Annual Dinner Jan. 23 at the Sheraton Sand Key.

Admiral William D. Baumgartner, the district commander of the Seventh Coast Guard District, will be the keynote speaker at the sold out event.

The owners of this Clearwater business are excited about the upcoming Republican National Convention -- not because of the politics, but because of the potential business.

"We would love to be a part of that," says co-owner Mary-Dianne Roperti. "It's an exciting time and we know we can definitely supply some of the needs that they have."

Pinellas County is looking for volunteers with financial smarts to help others through the current economic downturn. The Florida Master Money Mentor program, an initiative funded by the University of Florida, will train volunteers to become mentors who will assist individuals and families in gaining the knowledge and skills to better manage their finances.

Registration must be completed by Friday, Feb. 3.
