Osceola Ave., will host an innovative reading program that pairs pooches with children who have difficulty reading aloud in the presence of other people.

Proposed route for Pinellas light rail released

Clearwater, Florida -- A proposed route for light rail in Pinellas County has been released along with a new video promoting the line. The information comes as officials prepare for another e-Town Hall meeting on the subject.

Money mentors needed to help during tough financial times

Money mentors needed to help during tough financial times

Pinellas County is looking for volunteers with financial smarts to help others through the current economic downturn. The Florida Master Money Mentor program, an initiative funded by the University of Florida, will train volunteers to become mentors who will assist individuals and families in gaining the knowledge and skills to better manage their finances.

Registration must be completed by Friday, Feb. 3.

Police need help identifying burglary suspect

Police need help identifying burglary suspect

Largo, FL -- The Largo Police Department needs the public's help identifying the man in the photos who has been using a credit card stolen from a home on Dec. 31.

According to detectives, during a burglary at the home on Floral Drive a Visa Bank of America credit card was stolen and has been used several times at businesses in Clearwater.

The man's car can also be seen in the photos above.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information on the identity of the man or the car in the photos to contact Det. R. Zdzierak of the Largo Police Department at 727-586-7325.
