Animal Services closes its after-hours drop to the public

Effective Tuesday, Jan. 17, Pinellas County Animal Services will close its public after-hours drop off. This move is in the animals’ best welfare, as the drop off is not appropriate for sick, injured, extremely young or otherwise compromised animals.

Residents can still bring animals they wish to surrender to Animal Services during normal business hours and speak to a staff member. If the animal’s owner is looking for their lost pet, this can be a crucial step toward a happy reunion.
