Pinellas County, FL -- As the district faces yet another budget reduction and to help stimulate possible budget solutions, it is asking for input from the community at a series of budget community input sessions.

The sessions are scheduled for March 21 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the following school sites:

Clearwater, FL -- A 2-year-old girl who was found in a backyard swimming pool after being left alone for about 20 minutes has died.

Investigators say the child was in the care of 39-year-old Charles Gibbs when the near-drowning happened on March 4.

After leaving the child alone for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, Gibbs discovered her floating in the pool.

Clearwater, FL -- The Kiwanis Club of Springtime City in Clearwater is honored to host the 49th Annual Ed Wells, Jr. / Kiwanis Invitational Track and Field Meet at Clearwater High School on March 22. 

Forty-two teams and over 800 boy and girl athletes in Pinellas county's public and private schools will participate. 

Over 400 medals will be awarded to the top eight places in each of the final running and field events. 

Four team trophies will be presented to the first and second place boy and girl teams along with two individual trophies to the top scoring boy and girl athletes.
