Clearwater, Florida -- The eastbound travel lanes on the Pinellas Bayway Bridge will be closed on Thursday, June 13.

The closure will last between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., in order to continue the removal of the low level bridge. Approximately 30% of the old bridge has already been removed. 

The removal of the two drawbridge foundations will require a minimal underwater explosive detonation. Local residents will hear a loud boom, however there will be virtually no visual impacts since the detonation will occur underwater.  

Clearwater, Florida - Organizers of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday unveiled the poster Tuesday night for the 34th jazz concert, to be held Oct. 17-20 at Coachman Park.

The poster is the work of noted local painter Rick Whalen, and sets the overall theme for what has become one of the best known jazz entertainment events in the country.
