Man, teen caught breaking into Sears Essentials store

Clearwater, Florida -- A man and his teenage accomplice were arrested early Monday morning after they were caught breaking into a vacant Sears Essentials store.

Police received a call around 12:54 a.m. of a possible burglary in progress at the store located in the 2100 block of Gulf to Bay Blvd. The men, Mark Trump and the 16-year-old boy, were still inside when officers arrived.

They quickly set up a perimeter and one of the men who tried to get away was found a short time later hiding under a tarp behind the building. The other also tried to flee but was quickly caught just outside the building.

Police found burglary tools, including a mask and gloves, at the scene.

The 16-year-old boy was charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Obstruction. Trump, 31, was charged with Burglary and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
