The Humane Society of Pinellas says media outlets all over the world picked up the story of the two pals and are happy to report the two have been adopted.
The animal shelter says they reviewed dozens of email applications from around the country and after conducting numerous interviews over the phone and on Skype they found they perfect home for them in San Clemente, California.
On Friday evening, May 25, Sarah and Max took off to their new home on a non-stop flight from Tampa to LAX where their new mom anxiously awaited their arrival.
