Help animals in need at Walgreens | Community Spirit

Pinellas County, Florida -- There's just under a couple of weeks left to help animals in need at your local Walgreens stores in Pinellas County.

Pinellas County Walgreens stores have been sponsoring a pet food and supply drive to benefit the animals living at the Humane Society of Pinellas.

On Saturday, Aug. 4, the drive will culminate with an Adopt-a-thon at the Walgreens Store at 7400 66th Street North, Pinellas Park at Park Blvd. and 66th St., from 9 a.m. to noon, when the drive officially ends.

Forty-two Walgreens locations, including the Walgreens at 6735 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg, are accepting donations at special stations set up inside the stores through Saturday, Aug. 4.

Items needed include:

• Pet treats
• Blankets
• Shampoo
• Cat Litter
• Paper Towels
• Tissues
• Hand Soap
• Hand Sanitizer
• Bathroom Tissue
• Cleaners
