Man commits 3rd armed robbery on same street | Crime
Clearwater, Florida -- Clearwater Police are attempting to identify the man who has robbed three convenience stores on Drew Street since January.
According to detectives, in each case, the man displayed a handgun and demanded money and/or lottery tickets. In the two most recent incidents, less than a week apart, the man removed a can of beer from the cooler and waited for all customers to leave the store before approaching the register.
The man hit the 7-Eleven at 1725 Drew Street twice, once on Jan. 30 and again on April 15. He then hit the Hess at 2185 Drew Street on April 21. In all instances, he robbed the stores between the hours of 11:30 p.m and 2 a.m.
The man is described as a white male, 40-50 years old, 5'08"- 6', 180-220 pounds with gray hair. The car he has been seen driving is a newer model burgundy 2-door or 4-door sedan.
