Student sets off chemical device at school
Clearwater, Florida -- Clearwater Police say a student at Countryside High School set off a destructive device Friday afternoon.
According to police, the 16-year-old student mixed chemicals in a bottle and threw it in an outside hallway that leads to the parking lot around 12:20 p.m.
Police say no one was injured, but a female student was transported to the hospital after she complained of suffering a headache from the explosion.
The 16-year-old is in custody.
