Man caught trying to meet minor for sex | Crime

Clearwater, Florida -- A man who tried to meet up with a girl he thought he met through his Craigslist ad was arrested Monday.

Pinellas County Crimes Against Children detectives began an investigation in June after Robert Hall posted an ad on Craigslist. He then made contact with who he thought was a 14-year-old girl online but was actually an undercover detective.

Over the course of two weeks, Hall, 35, sent inappropriate messages to the detective regarding sexual favors.

On July 2, Hall made arrangements to meet the girl at a local park.  Instead, he was met with detectives who arrested him and charged him with traveling to meet a minor for sex, and use of prohibited computer service.
