Cops: Woman stabs man's tire with knife after crash | Crime
Clearwater, Florida -- A woman, hit by a truck while driving in Clearwater Tuesday morning, ended her day in jail after she reportedly lost her temper.
Clearwater Police say around 9:40 this morning Angelo Yasparro, 42, was driving his 2000 Dodge pickup truck west in the left turn lane on Court Street, just west of Osceola Avenue. He then decided to change lanes from the left turn lane into the westbound through lane to go towards Clearwater Beach and that's when he hit Theresa Rubalcava's 2000 Chevy Astro van.
Police say the collision angered 52-year-old Rubalcava and she stopped in the middle of the road, pulled out a knife from her pocket and punctured Yasparro's front driver's side tire.
She then fled the scene but was later located at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, 249 Windward Passage.
She was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Damage, Criminal Mischief and Possession of Marijuana.
Rubalcava and Yasparro were also issued citations. Yasparro for improper lane change.
