4 churches burglarized in 4 days in Clearwater | Crime

Clearwater, Florida -- Church burglaries are plaguing the City of Clearwater, police say.
In a span of four days, between Feb. 22-25, detectives now say four churches were broken into and had money stolen from each one.
The suspect, or suspects, reportedly forced their way into each of the churches listed below through doors or windows:
- Skycrest United Methodist Church
- Friendship United Methodist Church
- Grace Lutheran Church
- Light of Christ Church
A church van was also stolen from Grace Lutheran Church after the keys were found during the break in. It was found a short time later near Crest Lake Park.
Detectives say the newly-added Light of Christ Church on Marilyn Street to the list of burglaries was consistent with the others in the way it was executed and the fact that money was stolen.
Clearwater Police detectives are asking anyone with information about these burglaries is asked to contact the Burglary Unit at 562-4310 or the Clearwater Police Department Tip Line at 562-4080.
