Clearwater beach, Florida -- This week's Sunset Cinema features fantasy and romance.

Spy Kids will be shown Friday evening, May 10. Pride and Prejudice will be showed Saturday evening, May 11. 

The movies begin around sunset, weather permitting, and can be seen for free at Pier 60 Park.

Clearwater beach, Florida - The final installment of the 'Twilight' vampire series is Saturday's free movie at Pier 60 Park. It will take place on April 6. 

'Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2' begins just after sunset.

Friday, April 5, the movie is 'Cars 2.'

21st annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt

21st annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt

Clearwater, Florida -- Easter Sunday head down to Coachman Park and participate in searching for 25,000 Easter Eggs.

Hundreds of children under the age of 16 will hunt for the eggs. This includes 250 Golden Eggs which the hunters can exchange for cuddly bunnies. 

Other activities include:

  • Magician
  • Pony rides
  • Petting zoo
  • Train rides
  • Bouncy house
  • Face painting

The event is free and open to everyone but there is a small fee for food and some attractions.

Safety Harbor, Florida -- Oldsmar Cares will be collecting food along the parade route Saturday, March 23, 11am, at the annual Oldsmar Days Parade.

Each year volunteers from Oldsmar Cares march to collect food along the parade route to help families put food on the table in upper “To say you can see us coming is an understatement,” says Mike McKnight, Oldsmar Cares Chair. “The bright yellow shirts our volunteers wear help parade goers pick us out of the crowd.”

'Each One-Reach One' & site launch to tackle foster family recruitment goals

Tampa, Florida-- Despite Tampa Bay's lead in the state for the number of newly licensed foster families, state and local officials say they are still in desparate need of willing and well-suited parents as nearly 2,000 Bay area foster children remain. 

The recent "Fostering Florida's Future"  and "1200 New Foster Parents in 12 Months" initiatives have helped the Bay area land over 150 new foster homes just this year, and DCF officials say they are rolling out two new recruitment efforts to keep the growth going.

Family Date Night for Autism scheduled

Clearwater, Florida -- Family Date Night for Autism will be Friday, Feb. 8, Countryside Recreation Center from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This event allows families and friends touched by autism to enjoy a date night event together.

The event is sponsored by BJ's Brewhouse of Countryside and tickets are $10 per person. The fee includes dinner, dessert, activities, photo booth, dance party and a special date night gift. Activities are geared for ages 16 and under. Gluten free options will be available.
