Free testing for Hepatitis A, B, and C on May 18 | Health
Pinellas County, Florida -- On May 18 the Pinellas County Health Department is offering free testing for Hepatitis A, B, and C at all of its health centers.
"Hepatitis" means an inflammation of the liver. Viral hepatitis is leading cause of liver cancer and the most common reason for liver transplantation.
Vaccines for Hepatitis A and B are available through the county health department's STD clinics. There is no vaccine for Hepatitis C.
Hours for testing on May 18, for adults only, are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:
