Tampa, Florida -- Clearwater resident Eleana Frangedis was recently crowned 'Miss Teen America' on April 14.

The pageant was held at the Renaissance Center of Dickson, Tennessee and featured contestants from across the country competing in the following divisions: Interview, Physical Fitness, Evening Gown, and Fashion Modeling categories.

Eleana is a junior at Countryside High School and wants to attend the University of Central Florida and study Bio-medical Engineering. Eleana's passion is to continue to reach out and speak to young teens. As Miss Teen America she will travel the country using her national title to reach teens.

In addition to being crowned Miss Teen America, Eleana took top honors winning five additional awards: Miss Photogenic, Best Gown, Most Appearances/Community Service, a spread in Majesty Modeling Magazine and the contestant with the most advertisements raised for the program book.

Eleana will also advocate and support the Soles4Souls Program www.soles4souls.org - a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and gently used shoes from the public.
