Clearwater Beach, Florida - Add another festival to Clearwater Beach.
Frenchy's Sugar Sand Festival will debut in April, featuring ten sand days and sunset nights promoting the area's award-winning visitor and vacation destination.
A thousand tons of sand will be formed into a Sugar Sand Walk Exhibition just south of Pier 60, including a Master Sand Sculpting Competition, sand sculpting clinics, speed sand demonstrations and a children's area called, appropriately, the Sandbox. The events are free and open to the public.
There will also be a 14,000-square foot tent for an artistic walk-through display, with a small admission cost.
The event will be held April 19-28, in conjunction with the annual Fun 'N Sun Festival and the Pier 60 Daily Festival.
