Mail carriers collect food for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

Carrollwood, Florida - Mail carriers will take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents can leave non-perishable food item by their mailbox and the letter carrier will pick it up. The food will be donated to food banks to distribute to needy citizens.

Last year, over 70-million pounds of food was donated across the country.

If you cannot leave food items by your mailbox, you can drop it by your local post office.

Human trafficking ring busted in Pinellas Co.

Clearwater, Florida - Two men were arrested Friday and charged with running a human trafficking and prostitution ring in Pinellas County.

"They were trapped into the hands of their perpetrators who care nothing for them, except to exploit them for defendants own financial gain," said State Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Peter Kitt is allegedly head of the ring with Shawn Franklin as the enforcement to keep their victims in line. 

2 arrested for human trafficking in Clearwater

Clearwater, Florida -- Florida's attorney general says two men have been arrested in Clearwater for human trafficking.

At a news conference Friday, Attorney General Pam Bondi and several local law enforcement agencies discussed the arrests of Peter Kitt and Shawn Franklin.

Detectives say Kitt would recruit his victims from strip clubs, and then take them to a brothel and force them to train as prostitutes.
